Hello All,

Wasn't the New Canadian Kid, the weirdest play ever? I like the story and plot and every thing but it's just so weird... I really like the way how the author made it sound like it was in Nick's perspective, but that was also one of the weird things. It took me while to even understand that point, which is why it was weird.

I also can't wait to finish the written assignments and stuff for this year. Only 3 more days pps! Hang in there!

Until next time..

Fate??

Hello All!

For all those believer sin fate out there, here is a great article for you.
http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/afp/090720/oddities/britain_spain_love_offbeat

The news is so surprising, yet so sweet at the same time. Re-uniting after 16 years is just unbelievable. I'm not going to ruin the surprise by saying what it is about, but it has a lot to do with fate. I definitely believe in fate. Whatever is destined to happen will happen. There is no doubt in that. We don't know what it will be, but we will have to learn to accept it.

I'm actually happy that I came to Summer School. We just finished a humongous part of grade 11 english. It was destined that I come and do it, and so I did. Three more days and then we are done.. I don't count friday :P I hope that you all enjoyed the amazing 13 days so far... I certainly did, give or take a few moments.. But hey, it was definitely worth it...

Until next time!

"UNICEF - Sri Lanka - Sri Lanka: Upsurge in violence affects children." UNICEF - UNICEF Home. 19 July 2009 [http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/sri_lanka_34583.html].

Hello All,

This is my fifth and final article for my summative and this one also focuesses on the Srilankan Genocide. I want to stay as recent as possible, and so I chose this one.

This one is about how Children in Srilanka are sick and tired of violence in their country.

I would be too, if were them. The tamils always had to sneak around and keep their lookout fo landmines and other Sinhalese people who might do them harm. after living a life like that for a long time, a persons' psychology gets affected. My dance teacher used to tell us stories about how she went to wrok in Srilanka... They always had to have something over their heads in order to avoid being seen, and they had to sneak their way through land mines and other Sinhalese people.

When surveyed, many Sinhalese children said that they needed to work on gaining peace. This shows how much the children are affected by the ongoing war. I mentioned this in my previous article and I will mention it again. The war is at a pause right now. Unless equal rights are guaranteed and the safety of the tamilians is ensured, the war will not be over.

Until next time!

Article #2

"BBC NEWS | Africa | Rwanda: How the genocide happened." BBC NEWS | News Front Page. 18 July 2009 [http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/1288230.stm].

Hello all

I do not know what happened to my article #2 blog. I posted it, but its gone now.. I have looked but it is not there, so I am re posting the entire thing again. I am kind of angry right now due to the fact that I could've typed it up somewhere else and saved it and it would have saved me the trouble of re typing the whole thing. I guess I have been a bit stupid, and now its 10:30 in the night and I'm retyping the whole thing again.

Anyway, this article talks about the back ground of the Rwanadan genocide. 800,000 people were killed just because one tribe blamed the other for having power which was given to them by the Belgians. The tutsis are not to be blamed here. Just because they accepted the power given to them by the Belgians doesn't mean that they were responsible for all the trouble caused to the Hutsus. The Hutsus shouldn't hold a grudge on them for that. They would've accepted the power too if it was offered to them.

Maybe I am wrong, but those are just my feelings on the issue. Lives cannot be bought with money or power. They don't come back once they are lost. I just hope that people understand that fact and try to not let any more genocides happen.

My eyes are drooping and I feel like I am going to pass out on my laptop. If I wasn't stupid then I could've saved myself the task of re writing everything again.

Until Next Time!
